Effective Date: October 9, 2024

At Arculi, we are committed to the responsible and ethical development of artificial intelligence models, particularly in the healthcare space through our services, eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot. These guidelines provide a clear framework for how our models are developed, trained, maintained, and deployed. Our goal is to ensure transparency, accuracy, and safety in the delivery of health-related insights, while upholding the privacy and ethical considerations of users.

Overview of Arculi’s Models

Arculi develops and manages the core artificial intelligence models behind eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot:

  • eDoctor.Bot: Designed to assist users in detecting potential physical illnesses and conditions based on symptom-based inputs.
  • Mental.Bot: Developed to help identify potential mental health disorders and conditions based on user-reported symptoms and experiences.

These models are based on machine learning techniques and are trained using anonymized user inputs to improve their detection capabilities over time.

Model Accountability and Governance

Model Audits and Review

  • The performance and ethical standards of eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot models are regularly audited by our team of AI specialists. These audits ensure that the models continue to function as intended and do not produce biased or unethical outcomes.
  • We continuously monitor the effectiveness of the models, applying corrections and improvements where necessary.

Model Governance Board

  • Arculi has established a governance board to oversee the ethical use and deployment of our models. This board is responsible for ensuring that the models adhere to our ethical principles and comply with international AI and healthcare standards.
  • Any concerns or issues raised by users or third parties regarding the performance or ethical impact of our models are addressed by this board.

Model Training and Development

Automated Training Process

  • All training of the eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot models is conducted through automated machine learning processes.
  • No Human Access: There is no human access to user input or interactions at any stage of the model training process. The entire process is automated to ensure privacy and security. No user data is stored, and no identifiable information is available to our engineers or other personnel.
  • Anonymization: Data used for training purposes is anonymized in real-time and processed in a way that ensures it cannot be traced back to individual users. Input is stripped of any potential identifiers, and only non-personalized insights are used for algorithm improvement.

Continuous Learning and Improvement

  • Our models are designed to evolve continuously, improving their accuracy and responsiveness through ongoing, automated learning processes.
  • We leverage historical, anonymized data from interactions with the Services to fine-tune the models, ensuring they can detect a wider range of conditions and disorders with higher accuracy over time.

Validation of Models

  • All models undergo rigorous testing and validation using real-world and simulated datasets. These validations are performed to ensure the models maintain high levels of accuracy and reliability, especially in terms of the insights they provide to users.
  • eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot’s models are regularly subjected to comprehensive testing against known medical and mental health diagnostic criteria to ensure they are providing relevant, accurate information.

Model Ethics and Bias Prevention

Bias Mitigation

  • Arculi is committed to minimizing bias in the eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot models. We recognize that AI systems in healthcare must avoid perpetuating or exacerbating healthcare disparities.
  • To achieve this, our models are trained on diverse datasets that represent a wide range of populations, demographics, and health conditions to minimize the risks of biased or unequal recommendations.
  • Automated fairness audits are conducted to detect and correct any potential biases in model output, ensuring the accuracy and fairness of our models across different demographics, including age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status.

Ethical Framework

  • The models are designed and trained following ethical AI guidelines that prioritize user well-being, fairness, and transparency.
  • We strictly prohibit the use of our models for any discriminatory, harmful, or unethical purposes. The models are intended to assist users in identifying potential health and mental health issues based on their input, not to provide formal diagnoses or to replace professional medical advice.

Transparency in Model Recommendations

  • The insights and recommendations provided by eDoctor.Bot and Mental.Bot are based solely on user inputs and symptom patterns identified by the models.
